Greetings to all from Monaghan Collegiate School. School Term commences on Monday 5th January 2015. Pictured is our entry at the Christmas Tree Festival at St. Maelroid’s Church of Ireland Church, Castleblaney. Our tree theme was ‘Frosty the Snowman’ which was put together by Mr. Reid and Mr. Pollock.

It has become a tradition for staff to deviate from their Black Gowns and wear a Christmas jumper or Tie and funds raised go to charity. Our thanks to Ms. Murnaghan who organised the creative Mini Companies who sold and displayed their arts, crafts, baking and gift ideas at the annual sale of work.  

Our thanks to Rev. Betty Thompson, St. Salvadors, Glaslough who opened our Annual Sale of Work, November 2014. The event was well supported and funds in excess of €4200 were raised for School Development. Thanks to all the sponsors, parents & friends of Monaghan Collegiate School who supported the event.  

Our thanks to Charlene Dickson Form 6 who gave a very interesting cake icing demonstration at the Annual Sale of Work on 28th November in St. Patricks Hall. The sale was highly successful and very enjoyable.

Our thanks to Ms. McCaffrey and all the pupils who participated in the recent MS Read-a-thon which raised approx. €800.
