Tearfund – Our Sponsored child
Through Tearfund, a worldwide charitable organisation based in the U.K., the School supports Robinah, a teenage girl in Uganda. The money is raised through our non-uniform days and donations received at our Carol Service. This funding provides her with a Christian education, healthcare and an opportunity to develop vital social and life skills.
We hope this funding will ensure that she can get out of the cycle of poverty and in turn help her to read and write. Ultimately this education will give her opportunities in life she otherwise would not have and perhaps to be influential, supportive and help develop life in her community.
Our pupils in the Scripture Union Group exchange seasonal/festive cards with Robinah and enjoy hearing of her life in Uganda.
