General Information

Monaghan Collegiate School was established in 1570 as the Church of Ireland Diocesan School of Clogher. Today the modern school buildings and splendid educational facilities stand on a picturesque site overlooking a small lake on the outskirts of Monaghan Town.

Monaghan Collegiate School Board of Governors has ensured that the ethos of the school remains whilst celebrating the wide diversity of pupils, country and culture which make up the present pupil population.

Leaving Certificate Students Take Note!

Leaving Certificate Students have now completed their C.A.O. & U.C.A.S. choices and they are now concentrating on State Examinations. For those pupils and parents/guardians preparing for entry to Higher Level studies I would like to draw your attention to a website – www.studentfinance.ie that has been developed by the Higher Education authority in close co-operation with the Department of Education & Science and contains a broad range of important information on financial supports of relevance to all students and parents. It gives a comprehensive, user-friendly guide to college tuition fees, grants and financial supports available in further & higher education.

I recommend that pupils and parents/guardians take time to research tuition fees, grants and supports available.
