Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing Centre IE 345

Monaghan Collegiate School are at present, one of four registered centres for Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing in the Republic of Ireland. As a centre, we administer a variety of tests, mainly for both Cambridge and Oxford Universities. These tests include BMAT, STEP, OLAT, CAT, HAT, PAT and many more. Further details on specific tests, dates and fees can be found online via the following link; http://www.admissionstestingservice.org/. For our centre, direct enquiries can be made and test registration can be administered, by making contact with our Careers Advisor and Admissions Test Administrator, Ms Joanne Murnaghan, Monaghan Collegiate School on 047 82060 or email admissionstesting@monaghancollegiateschool.ie

Our Centre number is IE345.

Depending on your chosen university and course, you may need to take an admissions test as part of your application (some joint degree courses require you to take two tests). We advise that you check the relevant university’s website for the most up-to-date information about their requirements.

As well as being an entry requirement, an admissions test gives you the chance to show your potential to succeed on a challenging course.

Recent information from Cambridge Assessment: The BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) is an admissions test for applicants to Medicine, Biomedical Science and Dentistry courses at certain universities. The Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing is working in conjunction with the Italian Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MIUR) to develop and deliver the International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT). IMAT is a 100 minute subject-specific admissions test in English for applicants to medicine and surgery courses. These courses are taught in English, with places open to both home and international students. Please refer to http://www.admissionstestingservice.org/for-test-takers/imat/about-imat/ for further information and the admissions process.
